The Options before ...

... Indian voters this week are essentially to choose between two major parties, both proven guilty of religious persecution of the worst kind, including murder, and using State machinery to cover it up OR vote for an independent or a small/regional party (some of whose leaders have dreadful ethical and criminal records). Of course, a vote for the latter is one that raises the prospect of an unstable Government that could have to answer to parties with the strangest of agendas.
One has to wonder, have we made any progress in this respect in the 59 years for which India has been a republic?
